PEOPLESOFT TECHNICAL CONSULTANT (Non-Traveling)

As an Oracle Certified Consulting Partner, Beacon Application Services Corporation is a project-oriented consulting firm specializing in the implementation and upgrades of PeopleSoft Enterprise Applications (Financial Management, Human Capital Management, Supply Chain Management).  Since 1990, our goal has been to provide our customers with experienced PeopleSoft consultant project teams.  Some of our consultants have been a part of Beacon for 15 years.  This model helps us deliver on time, on budget, well-run projects.

 

Position Overview:

As a member of the Beacon Team, you will be given the opportunity to work with other experienced Beacon consultants.  The focus will be on PeopleSoft projects – start to go live, implementation/upgrade, not staff augmentation.

 

Responsibility:

As a PeopleSoft Technical Consultant, you will be managing implementations of software systems conversions, integrations, and/or upgrades to client specifications and to Beacon’s standards.  This includes, but is not limited to:

-  Analyzing the client’s current system

-  Generating a plan for assigned project areas with accurate resources requirements

-  Designing and integrating financial software applications

-  Developing processes and interfaces

-  Testing and documenting all phases of the project

-  Providing status reports to client and Beacon management

 

Skill Set Requirements:

Candidate must have demonstrated skills in the following areas as defined below.

-  Design and set-up of system infrastructure

-  Use of reporting tools (nVision, Crystal, Query, SQR, etc.)

-  Conversion processes, tools, and interfaces

-  Planning and executing complex test systems

-  System security

-  Client-server technology

-  Database skills (SQR, SQL, Oracle, Sybase, DB2, etc.)

-  5-10 years experience consulting with PeopleSoft products
