PKI Maintenance Engineer w/ an Actice TS/SCI Clearance

POSITION DESCRIPTION – Essential Job Functions:

Serves as a member of the PKI Development team performing PKI implementation throughout NGA Gateway systems.  Position involves PKI technology implementation on Bethesda and Arnold NGA Gateway systems and in providing general technical support to PKI development, testing, and deployment activities.  Position location is in the Chesapeake, VA area, with occasional travel to Arnold, Missouri and Bethesda, MD.



Duties and qualifications, identifying both essential and marginal duties:

Specific duties consist of maintaining server hardware and software (security scans and lockdowns, system patches, software updates), and installing new hardware for entire system under recapture program (install and configure all new systems, lockdown systems according to DISCAP requirements, migrate new hardware/systems into current architecture, update all security documentations).  Other duties may include assisting in development testing, briefing design and concept presentation, and provide general technical assistance as needed.  Duties will also include maintaining the required hardware, software, and databases needed for operational PKI capabilities.  Will support PKI team activities providing operational assistance in establishing/maintaining active database of registered PKI users, performing system and application software upgrades at Arnold & Bethesda, and delivering PKI technical expertise to various customer elements as directed by the EG government managers.  Will perform duties in accordance with NGA and IT/IS procedures and processes.

Physical Requirements:

Visual acuity to work on a computer for extended periods of time.  May require lifting up to 50lbs.



Education, Skill, and Experience Requirements:

This position requires a BS Degree or two years equivalent experience.  Should have hands-on knowledge and strong background with UNIX and Windows System Administration.  Solid familiarity with Bethesda Gateway systems and NGA change management processes strongly recommended. Background experience and knowledge in PKI, Sun LDAP Server, Sun One Web Server, Solaris 9 or 10, and CA SiteMinder are optional.
