Develops or modifies procedures to solve complex problems (70%) Designs and codes screen layouts, printed outputs and interfaces with other systems Coverts designs and specifications into computer code Creates test transactions and runs tests to find errors and confirm programs meet specifications Analyzes code to find causes or errors and revises programs Consults with senior members of the team, Project Manager, Business Analyst and/or key users  to prototype, refine and test programs to meet needs Responsible to deliver assigned tasks on time Monitors performance of programs after implementation Provides guidance and training to less experienced IT staff and key users (10%) Provides technical assistance by responding to inquiries from others regarding errors, problems or questioins about programs Trains end users or technical support staff to use programs Consults with senior members of the team, Project Manager, Business Analyst and/or key users to identify system solutions to solve business issues Provides production support as required (20%) Supports production systems on a rotation basis for a week at a time Provide support direction or training for less experienced staff Analyze help desk development support tickets  Skills:  Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to work with others within the development group; ability to pay attention to detail and work independently and under direction of others; proven proficiency in multi-tasking; AS400, SQL, RPG, CL, OS400, (TCP/IP) Experience:  2+ years of related experience; Retail industry a plus.  JDA or PKMS experience is desired.
