 Senior Programmer / Support Specialist

 

The programmer / support specialist position at Stratix is new position due to company growth.The position will combine the technical skills of application development (pimary) with a foundation of knowledge of supporting internal users.  A real-world understanding of document based solutions will be a plus.  While this position is a primarily an application development role, there will be some responsibility to support local and remote users within the corporate infrastructure. 

 

·  Complete development life cycle of business applications and interfaces

·  Revising essential business applications

·  Customizing packaged software applications

·  Technical knowledge (solid foundation) of network and desktop operating systems (Microsoft platforms).

 

 

Required Skills/Knowledge/Experience

 

The ideal candidate should have 5+ years experience as a developer using Microsoft Visual Basic 6, Visual Studio (VB, VC+, and VC #), PlanetPress Talk, Java (website scripting and development), Microsoft SQL Query and Scripting.

·  Good communication skills

·  Ability to work independently

·  Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

 

 





Proficiency will be essential to support end users with MS-Windows, MS-Office suite (i.e. Word, Excel, Access, Power Point, etc.) plus other software like Adobe Acrobat.

 

Additional experience using MS-Windows based application software is a plus in the following areas: Customer relationship management (i.e. ACT, SalesLogix, Gold Mine, etc.); Relational databases including Microsoft Access and SQL Server 2005; Collaborative packages such as Microsoft Windows SharePoint Services and industry standard business application like OMD.  Microsoft SharePoint Designer and Adobe Dreamweaver CS3 for web design and development.
