We are currently searching for a Pre-Sales Consultant / Technical Sales Consultant to join our Irvine, California team.

Position Summary:

Technical Sales Consultants are expected to have a broad knowledge of current technology and to be excellent written and verbal communicators.  A significant amount of time will be spent on sales presentations that include intimate knowledge of our company, culture, product and services offerings.  The role is ideal for candidates with a keen ability to uncover latent business issues and the capacity to develop and execute a successful technical solution in both a large and complex multinational corporation, as well as in a small to medium sized business environment. TSC’s are positioned regionally in support of regional and local sales efforts, and therefore concentrate the majority of their activities on the territory of a regional sales VP.  Nevertheless, the position reports to the Senior Vice President of Sales, who is responsible for all sales at SARCOM, and in an effort to optimize sales productivity, TSC’s are expected to operate as a national corporate resource for technical pre-sales.  While most customer facing activity is expected to be regional and local, and therefore less taxing in terms of travel, distance travel may be required in order to support other areas nationally as needed. 



 Job Description: Responsible for consulting with customers in supporting HP Enterprise products, Cisco networking products, Microsoft and similar technology in the infrastructure, networking and enterprise software space. Will learn to understand and sell labor outsourcing contracts for desktop support and total IT Lifecycle Management. Provide technical support in sales presentations, product demonstrations, and SOW / proposal / solution architecture preparation. Owns the pre-sales technical interface with customer, and understands how to properly utilize the company’s virtual solutions group for specialized pre-sales support and marketing programs. Understands and articulates, in writing, the client's business and technical needs as elicited directly from the customer and all stakeholders, interprets them, and produces a solution that the company can deliver profitably.    Works directly with the company’s Managed and Professional Services group to ensure that SOW’s and company commitments are consistent with the company’s then current capabilities, policies and procedures, and available services delivery capacity.  Takes direction in this regard from the VP of Services and designated services operations management. 

· In collaboration with regional and local sales management, the TSC will:  Identify Key Account Targets Perform joint review of Account Plans with the Sales Account Managers Identify Account Plan Strategies Influence the Account Managers to schedule sales meetings and Account Strategy meetings to pursue business opportunities. Monitor and influence the successful execution of the Account Plan strategies, goals, and objectives via CRM. 

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree Computer Science or Information Technology Desired technical knowledge (HP Server and Storage, Cisco, Microsoft) Excellent customer and communication and presentation skills Strong sales & negotiation skills Customer facing skills Ability and willingness to motivate and support others Ability to work under pressure Resilience and resourcefulness when solving complex problems Ability to present proposals persuasively Excellent team skills Help drive new and incremental sales of enterprise solutions in new and existing customers At least 5-10  years experience

Other skills considered:Provide IT Infrastructure Solutions to customers based on Microsoft Technologies Implement solutions based on Active Directory (AD), Exchange 2007, ISA, System Center, etc. Troubleshoot AD, Messaging and related Infrastructure problems faced by customers Design and Document Infrastructure solutions Computer Science Degree or equivalent qualification MSCE Certification. Additional certifications will be an added advantage. Team player with strong interpersonal skills with ability to complete tasks with minimum supervision Excellent analytical, problem solving, written & oral communication skills Sound Knowledge of Microsoft AD, Exchange, ISA, System Center etc, Knowledge of BackupExec & AV solutions would be desirable Candidates with knowledge of VMware would be given a preference.
