Job Overview:Apply knowledge and experience with computer systems, applications and databases to accurately explain and document storage-based solutions which may include combinations of software, hardware and third-party applications. Understand limitations and capabilities related to customer requirements and develop communication vehicles which might include white papers, cookbooks, websites, wikis and other common forms of technical communication. Work closely with solution architects, channel partners, customers and with HDS field account personnel to document existing implementations and understand and explain positive and negative solution behavior.Job Functions:1. Plan, design and write overall solution documents. Document test results including an interpretation of the importance of key findings (60%) 2. Understand test plans used to characterize behavior of a solution (10%)3. Work alongside engineers configuring systems and applications, conducting tests and capturing results (20%)4. Share findings through a variety of media including live and remote workshops (10%)This is an individual contributor role. Requires the ability to travel 30%. Primary Qualifications:Requires 3-5 years experience with UNIX or Windows applications and databases as well as total confidence with technology. Prefer experience with environments based on SAN- or NAS- attached storage arrays from HDS or competitors. Key is the ability to communicate clearly in writing and confidence when presenting difficult topics to groups of technical and sales colleagues. Must be a skilled communicator on paper, on the web and in person.BS Technical degree or Masters preferred. Related technical certification strongly preferred.
