Your primary responsibility is to drive the introduction of a multitude of new LED products into a rapidly changing marketplace. Must have 5+ years product management experience in LED industry, experience initiating New Product Introduction, and guiding the NPI process through all phases, plus a BS degree in electrical engineering or a related engineering discipline. If this sounds like you, read on....Requirements: - 5+ years product management experience in LED industry - Deep understanding of LED technology and applications - BS degree in electrical engineering or a related engineering discipline - Experience determining initial product requirements, initiating and guiding the New Product Introduction process, and product change and EOL (end-of-life management) management. - Experience with Managing customer notification and approval for product changes - Excellent written and oral communication skills - Ability to effectively communicate with all parts of the internal company organization and customers - Excellent time management skills, managing complex product introduction projects on tight timelines considering key customer needs and launch schedules - An energetic personality with quick problem solving ability - Willingness to travel up to 25% Responsibilities: - Develop and maintain detailed product requirements for LED products for the general and speciality illumination markets - Translate customer requirements into product requirements and specifications - Analyze competetive products, understand and communicate product positioning relative to competition - Initiate New Product Introduction, and guide NPI process through all phases - Coordinate sampling activities through all phases of product lifecycle - Manage customer notification and approval for product changes, as well as EOL - Handle product related RMA issues, and communicate FA results - Analyze cost and market pricing to recommend ASP, initiate and guide cost reduction initiatives - Create and maintain all collateral materials, including data sheets, applications notes, product overviews - Determine product support requirements, including reference designs for optics, thermal and drivers - Communicate with key customers to understand product requirements, and determine and negotiate specifications.
