Plans, develops, and implements marketing programs for assigned products to increase product sales growth and expand market share. Business modeling and making reccomendations to management is a primary function of this position. Evaluates and adjusts tools and processes to respond to changing and /or competitive markets. Guides product introductions and product updates.
Key Responsibilities:
•Identify trends and projections in market data and maintain product level forecasts for business case and business planning purposes
•Track global product pricing and build/maintain pricing roadmap
•Stay abreast of customer, competitive and industry pricing trends
•Review current and planned price actions with key country marketing management on a quarterly basis
•Regular communication with geo marketing managers (EMEA, LAD/AP, and North America) to ensure product plan meets their needs
•Support both marketing and geography business units with information analysis for making fact-based business decisions.
Experience and Skill Requirements:
•Desired experience - 5 to 8 years in marketing/category management (with at least 3 years in a category management role) or business analysis.
•BA/BS in marketing, statistics, finance or other related field. MBA is preferred.
•Comfortable consolidating large amounts of information and is adept at identifying actionable, goal-oriented strategic recommendations related to such data.
•Must have superior communication skills in verbal, written, and electronic form and the ability to create and deliver brief presentations with key messages to individuals or small groups
•Thorough understanding of pricing practices and overall impact on retail selling efforts required
•Capable of interfacing with all levels of management and international colleagues
•Knowledge of traditional consumer goods marketing or consumer electronics industry is preferred
