Product Manager, Hardware RFID Products
My client is a division of a Fortune 200 Company. We are seeking a Product Manager, Hardware RFID Products.The Product Manager Hardware reports to the Director of Product Management, Hardware who has overall responsibility for the company’s line of RFID and associated hardware products.The Product Manager Hardware has specific delegated responsibilities for managing products carried to satisfy the requirements of My Clients markets. Responsibilities:• Developing a clear vision and product strategy for the delegated line of RFID and associated products, including product goals, features/functions, positioning, and financial objectives• Working with business development and sales to identify new product opportunities and quantify the strategic and financial benefits of pursuing selected markets for these products within My clients various markets.• In conjunction with the Director of Product Management, Hardware, crafting and communicating an ongoing, long-term product roadmap aligned with corporate objectives, business development activities, and technology trends• Transforming market needs into well-defined, prioritized product requirements and serving as the main customer advocate driving the development life cycle• Determining market opportunity, target buyer, revenue forecast, competitive differentiators, key messages, pricing, and distribution for each new product• Collaborating with engineering staff of both pre-sales and consulting to prescribe feature tradeoffs based on customer requirements, market windows, and development resources for one-off solutions for customers• Collaborating with services support staff to escalate unresolved issues with RFID Party products.• Developing launch plans to address marketing communications, promotions, demos, internal training, interface with strategic partners and distributors, and positioning for new products and major releases; ensuring a timely and quality product launch by coordinating efforts with engineering, marketing communications, sales, customer service, and partners• Capturing, evaluating, and disseminating competitive market information• Participating with marketing communications in outbound marketing of the products, including trade press, analysts, advertising, trade shows, customer presentations, and collateral Experience and Skills:• BS required, MS and/or MBA is a plus• At least 5 years of cumulative RF engineering and/or product marketing experience, including at least 2 years of related experience in product marketing and/or product management• Proven success defining, managing, and launching hardware products• Knowledge of RFID and other automatic data collection technologies, along with wireless communication and networking technologies is an advantage• Experience negotiating contracts and managing relationships with 3rd party suppliers• Project management experience• Track record of success in a dynamic, rapid-growth, highly technical environment• Strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills necessary to work effectively with team members, executive management, customers, and partners• Proven ability to work effectively as part of a team and to lead team efforts in a matrix management organization• Strong analytical and problem solving skillsQualified candidates respond with WORD.DOC RESUMES ONLY to: dhf@vermilliongroup.com or call David Fink at 800-203-0705 x 104 David Fink, CSAM is recognized as one of the top Information Technology recruitment specialists in the country.
