Program / Project Manager

Currently, the Enterprise Data Networking Group has an opportunity for a Program/Project Manager to join our Enterprise Business team in the design and development of new data networking products.Responsible for providing program cost, planning and scheduling services during all phases of projects, from proposal through development and execution. As a member of the project team, reporting to the Senior Program Manager. You will have the direct responsibility for the day to day cost and schedule activities of a staff of cost control and planner/Scheduler professionals when assigned.Major tasks and responsibilities: Manage the end-to-end project execution in line with GlobalPM™, Alcatel-Lucent Technologies project management method. Manage the Program Management Organization. Support Sales in the Bids & Proposals team during the tender phase. Signs off for project do-ability. Developing implementation strategies, PM budgets and schedules. Ensure that all concerned departments have a full understanding of the customer requirements and act as the interface for all concerned parties.  Assure that proper staff members participate in operational contact. Maintain cognizance over all contacts with the customer. Prepare and participate in contract negotiations. Identify any potential area of exposure and initiate appropriate actions. Responsible for Risk Management. Responsible for Change Management. Responsible for Logistic Management. Supervise the performance of all project planning, controlling and reporting functions. Responsible for overall financial integrity. Must make decisions regarding contract deliverables versus operating margins of the project. Make or force required decisions at successively higher organization levels to achieve project objectives. Facilitate the appropriate contract close out after project completion.Education and all minimum requirements Include: Requires a BS degree (or equivalent) in Telecommunications. Project/Program Management experience. Good communication and negotiating skills. Basic knowledge in finance and accounting. Telecommunications or IT industries.
