QA Engineer in Continuous Data Protection

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a QA Engineer in the Continuous Data Protection Team you will be a key contributor to our overall QA organization. Strategize, design and write test cases for your assigned area of work. Closely work with the engineering team to troubleshoot, debug, and resolve a variety of diverse technical and test coverage issues.

 

REQUIREMENTSExperience with programming & scripting languages is highly desired (C++, C#, Perl, Python, Ruby) Testing knowledge of MS-Exchange, MS-SQL is highly desirable. Experience in defining test requirements and test methodologies, and setting up the required test lab and equipment. Ability to track defects from discovery through resolution. Experience testing applications on MS-Windows & LINUX platforms Ability to perform various test activities including functional, boundary, error, data analysis, performance, stress and load testing. Expertise in exploratory testing techniques. Test experience with other automation tools (like Silk) is preferred. Prior experience with Data Backup and Restore products is a big plus. General RequirementsA "Team Player" with a positive attitude and excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to work in a high-level stress and interrupt driven environment. Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team. Must have a "can-do" attitude and be self-directed in a fast paced engineering environment.

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCEBachelor's or Master's (preferred) degree in Computer Science/Engineering Minimum of 5 years of related experience
