The successful candidate will have a broad range of PC and Windows skills, and the ability to work independently to monitor, update, and maintain the test system. This individual also needs to have an in-depth understanding of drivers, BIOS, and Windows Software. ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, document, execute and maintain tests for QA test suites focusing on regression, functionality, performance, and unit testing
Develop automated as well as traditional test cases and plans based on an understanding of QA testing methodologies
Work closely with the QA organization and Engineering teams to review and improve requirements, specifications and test plans, design, develop and execute tests
Perform boundary verification and test basic functionality
Troubleshoot, setup, and maintain systems
Participate in technical reviews of project requirements, specifications, and test plans
Identify, isolate, report and track product defects in the defect tracking system
Work cross functionally with technical support, other engineering development teams and sales engineers to resolve product defects
Qualifications BS in Computer Science/Electrical Engineering, or related field, or 3-5 years experience in QA
Windows power user
In-depth PC hardware and software skills
3+ experience with PC platforms in a wide range of areas and technologies, including networking (wired and several flavors of wireless), video and displays, mobile technologies, CD and DVD drives, monitors and USB devices
