They are looking to immediately fill a Mechanical Engineer Position. The candidate for this position will have a BS Degree in Information Science, or Engineering (electrical, computer, mechanical) or equivalent combination of training and experience; the candidate will be working with sensors and electronic components in relation to autonomous vehicle platforms.  Primary roles will be mechanical design, field of view analysis for sensors, SolidWorks CAD design of bracketry, and coordination of component fabrication. Software Engineers:Vehicle DevelopmentOur client is a well established robotics company located in Pittsburgh, Pa. They are looking to immediately fill a Research Programmer position. The candidate will develop controller and navigation computing systems for robotic vehicles. Work will also include building GUI’s or other work with graphical user interface and interfacing with various onboard sensors and the autonomy system.The candidate will have C experience in a Unix-type environment, C++, MFC, and QNX experience preferred.  Positioning systems (GPS/IMU/INS) experience preferred. They are looking to immediately fill a Research Programmer position. Our client is looking for people to help with systems level integration work.  Tasks will include setting up initial machine OS (QNX or Linux), coordinating systems level data flow, and writing communications software.  C/C++ experience working in Linux environment is required. Linux and WinXP administrative experience preferred (installing drivers, compiling code, setting up and debugging networks, bash scripts) Our client is looking for individuals with a solid mixture of experience, education, creativity, and motivation. This project has an immediate need for Senior Electrical Engineer with significant experience related to electrical system design, power management, computer controlled devices, actuators, and communications systems. The vehicles are hybrid electric and controlled by various computer systems. A variety of high speed communications systems are used for data acquisition, logging and control.  Candidates will have direct experience designing, implementing and troubleshooting complex electrical systems. The job requires a BSEE and a minimum of 6 years industry experience or equivalent. The job of Senior Research Engineer requires formal engineering education or training, superior problem solving skills, and independent decision-making abilities. Responsibilities include designing, analyzing, building and testing electrical systems in a team setting. The engineer develops these products from research idea to product prototypes. The engineer is also required to work with representatives from industrial partner organizations to refine prototype designs to the exact customer needs. Hardware Engineer:Our client is a well established robotics company located in Pittsburgh, Pa. and looking to fill a Hardware Engineer position. They are looking for people to help with systems design and implementation in the areas of teleoperation, positioning systems, and wireless networking equipment. The candidate must have Power supply and distribution experience.  Experience with previous autonomous vehicle development strongly preferred.
