SAP Technology Engineer

An overall understanding of quality client service, a proven track record of working in multifunctional teams and across multiple geographies, strong business acumen and the instinct to think and act globally are essential for advancement within Deloitte Services LP.   Applicants or employees with disabilities must be offered any reasonable accommodations, which are necessary for them to be able to perform the essential functions of a position.   PRIMARY DUTIES: - Technical Support of SAP systems and related environments. - Monitor and upgrade Databases (Oracle 10g), support and upgrade SAP software (Netweaver, ERP ECC6.0, EP 2004s, BI 2004s, BIA, CRM 5.0, Solutions Manager 4.0, iXOS/OpenText, BSI, Taxware) - Provide direct support to development teams and QA teams. - Production on-call duties as required. - Provide DB / SAP engineering, project participation and project leadership. - Create standards and best practices following ITIL guidelines, capacity planning, and integration with R10 technical support teams. - Responsible for establishing and executing business recoveries and procedures. - Create, coordinate and organize technical documentation for business recovery and procedures. - Develop test plans and participate in BCP dry run recoveries. - Participate in continuous BCP process improvements and continuous BCP documentation updates. - Leverage the position to assist technical infrastructure teams with support tasks as management directs. - Limited / No travel. - Bachelorsdegree in Computer Science or Business Information Systems preferred or related fields - 3-7 years of Database Administration Information technology services experience required.  - 2+ years of experience with SAP is required. - Experience with several of the following: Oracle, SAP Basis, Unix (AIX) and Windows 2000/3. - Experience with SAP Infrastructure - Strong oral and written communication skills About DeloitteDeloitte refers to one or more of Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu, a Swiss Verein, and its network of member firms, each of which is a legally separate and independent entity.
