SR or Lead Embedded Firmware/Systems Validation Engineer

SemiconductorTALENT.com, a division of Intelligent Technology Solutions, is a North American leader in providing executive search services to the microelectronics and engineering sectorsWe are seeking a SR or Lead Embedded Firmware/Systems Validation Engineer for our Sacramento based clientRESPONSIBILITIES:Validating state-of-art System-on-Chip (SoC) devices with embedded MIPS processors, and their real-time firmware.- Function validation test plan generation- Develop and use defect tracking toolsQUALIFICATIONS:- BS or better in CS,CE or EE- 5 to 8+ years of industry experience- *for a lead role, 2+ years of lead experience, able to assume technical leadership responsibilities - 5+ years of software/firmware system development or validation experience(or 8+ years for Lead role) for real time systems.-(*if for Lead role)- Knowledge of storage protocols such as FC, SCSI, SAS/SATA, RAID and/or enclosure management- Knowledge or experience with software verification/validation, test plan generation, tool chains and debug tools- Knowledge of RTOS constructs including processes, threads, scheduling, synchronization mechanisms, and memory management.- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.- Good planning/executionDESIRABLE:- MS degree or better, with emphasis in storage processing.- Detailed working knowledge of hardware design and implementation.- Experience working with RAID/HBA and SAS/SATA/SCSI architectures- (for SR level) Knowledge of storage protocols such as FC, SCSI, SAS/SATA, RAID and/or enclosure management- Innovative troubleshooting skills- Customer interfacing experience- Knowledge of OS driver architectures in Windows/LinuxApply for this job nowSemiconductorTALENT.com confidentiality policy About SemiconductorTALENT.com SemiconductorTALENT.com, a division of Intelligent Technology Solutions, is a highly specialized and successful recruitment agency.
