Sales Account Executive

Summary

The Sales Account Executive will be responsible for driving sales in a geographical North American territory through channel partners. You will manage opportunities throughout the solution selling process leveraging sales tools and resources during the sales and business development process. In addition to managing the sales process with partners you will also be responsible for identifying, recruiting and onboarding additional partners to expand the channel.

Open-E (www.open-e.com) is a successful storage management software company.  Since 2001, the company has been selling software that enables any server to manage a storage network.  Open-E is a fast-growing, venture-funded business with significant revenue from North America and Europe.

Responsibilities

The sales person is responsible for all aspects of the sales cycle, including:   Work closely with Open-E’s Channel Account Managers to consistently increase revenue using various methods including cold calling, prospecting and other sales resources to develop and close business through channel partners. Accurately forecast business on a monthly and quarterly basis to predict revenue goals and build a consistent pipeline. Develop and build a pipeline of new business opportunities by using specific methods for territory development that includes cold calling, existing channel partners. Enhance our relationships with existing partners in order to grow our customer base. Grow channel presence by recruiting new channel partners through cold calling and lead follow up. Manage incoming direct sales or partnership inquiries from initial contact through close. Learn the key features and benefits of our Open-E software to determine the appropriate selling points in a particular market or partner type. Maintain level of key metrics to meet activity requirements (call volume) on a consistent basis. Maintain the sales database (SalesForce) including setting alarms for follow-up, lead tracking and pipeline development efforts

 

This position is located in Boston, Massachusetts.

 

Experience

The ideal candidate will have: Proven success in inside sales for a software company with two to five years of experience Strong background in B2B technical solutions with an understanding of software development
