Insight is an Equal Opportunity Employer M/F/D/V.BASIC FUNCTION OF JOBA member of the Sales Support Team, this position is responsible for providing support to the Sales organizations in the development of customized client deliverables (i.e. proposals, quotes, requests for information, presentations, etc.). This individual will be responsible for bringing together the efforts of Sales, Operations, National Practices, and various other resources to ensure the timely coordination and creation of client documentation while meeting client driven deadlines.WORK PERFORMEDThe requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required to meet the requirements of the Sales Support Specialist position. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.· Assume overall project management for the deliverable response process including review and understand client requirements, coordinate necessary teammates, assign roles and responsibilities, and finalize documentation resulting in a successful client deliverable.· Develops, leads, and facilitates a structured methodology for completion of the deliverable.· Participates in strategy meetings that establish the game plan for processing client deliverable requests and meeting client requirements.· Writes copy for client deliverables and presentations utilizing exceptional written communication skills, and ensuring a consistent flow and tone in the information presented. · Develop a practical knowledge equally of Insight’s offerings including Systems/Software, Services, and Mobility competencies.· Seeks input from Sr. Manager, Client Deliverables if required, then edits and finalizes copy.· Manages multiple projects concurrently in a deadline driven environment.· Assists Sales with the execution of client communications (i.e. Cover Letters, Executive Summaries, Quotes, etc.).· Serve as a departmental liaison in providing teammates client deliverable information as needed in support of their specific requirements. · Utilize a SANT database of information and effectively participate in the communications back to the Database Specialist any updated details uncovered during the client deliverable process that can be used in future opportunities.· Identify trends and engage in process improvement where necessary.· Seeks and develops unique ways to present the strengths of Insight.· Maintains a positive rapport and continuously builds trust with various Insight Sales / Operations Teams.· Support other departmental functions and projects as directed / required by management. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES Two-three years experience in a similar Sales support function or related field. Excellent communication skills with the ability to share information and ideas with others both verbally and in writing. Exceptional writing skills to clearly and concisely write in a variety of communication settings and styles, conveying messages that have the desired effect. Promotes an atmosphere where all teammates feel comfortable sharing and discussing strategy, ideas, and processes. Highly organized with the skills to coordinate resources and manage multiple activities to meet established goals in a deadline driven environment while effectively managing stress. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS Education and/or Experience: Bachelor's degree (B. A.) in General Business is preferred or equivalent work related experience. Two to three years professional work experience in a sales environment or three to five years work experience outside of sales environment.Any Other Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: NoneSUPERVISION None Position reports to: Sr. Manager, Client Deliverables Supervision Received:Employee given resources and strategies from Sales Support management and teammates with access to day-to-day interaction as necessary. Employee to take such resources and strategies and develop ways to accomplish given tasks. Job requires minimal, if any, daily supervision. TRAINING Person Responsible for Training:Sales Support management and teammates will provide the necessary training to gain knowledge and expertise of job related tasks. Personal development will be the responsibility of the teammate utilizing available training offered by Insight University and leveraging relationships with other teammates within the organization. Sales Support management will also provide the employee self-development guidance. Specific Training Timeline and Requirements: It is expected that the Employee will have learned the processes involved in completing client deliverable job-related tasks within one year of initial start date of employment. On-the-job training will take place continuously until the Employee is familiar with and embraced the Insight culture including our product/solution offerings, the roles the various teammates/departments play within the company, and the value/importance of the Sales Support function towards meeting Insight’s goals and objectives. Employee will also be expected to increase knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite of software (i.e. Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) as well as other software packages including Visio and many on-line RFP software tools allowing the satisfactory performance of necessary job-related computer skills to complete assigned job responsibilities.
