Position Description:

The Configuration Management Engineer will be responsible for moving software through release stages: development, QA, staging, production.  This position will require maintenance of software libraries, software coding standards, and documentation. The candidate will design, develop, and implement build master processes specific to corporate culture.

 

Experience Requirements and Success Metrics:

 

· Strong self-management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently and get things done in an effective, time-efficient manner.

· Experience with Production website environment management a plus.

· Experience with every phase of software development lifecycle.

· Experience working in an “on call” environment (pager).

· Beneficial to have experience in web development environment.

 

Skill and Educational Requirements:

 

· 3+ years of configuration management in an internet software development environment.

· Solid understanding of the J2EE framework (preference for candidates where they’ve worked on large java projects).

· Sys. Admin. scripting, installation, migration concepts. (should be Perl, bash).

· Experience with Make or Ant.

· Experience with Unix command-line tools and networking fundamentals.

· Experience with project management a plus.
