The position requires the ability to leverage a strong IT background in the identification and assessment of security mechanisms of both applications and general support systems. The candidate will possess a high level understanding of applications and hardware architecture so as to effectively apply the principles of Information Assurance to various information systems. The candidate will have had prior experience working with a wide variety of technologies, be well versed in the current state of Information Security, and be able to interpret the requirements of relevant governing bodies (NIST, OMB, etc) and security frameworks (NIST, ITIL, etc). The ideal candidate will have prior experience performing the full scale Risk Management process for a federal client utilizing NIST guidance, to include applying NIST Security Controls and Risk Assessments. A strong understanding of how to apply the principles of Information Security in a variety of circumstances is a must. Primary responsibilities will include working closely with product, technical, and fraud teams to ensure products are developed with security in mind and act as a liaison between the security organization and other business units. Other responsibilities will include ensuring the ongoing integration of security concerns within the software development lifecycle, analysis and review of all product and functional requirements.
