Senior Development Eng/Senior Systems Architect The Digital Capture & Devices Group within Kodak's Consumer Digital Group is actively recruiting senior engineering leadership for the rapidly growing area of Digital Picture Frames (DPF). The Senior Development Engineer will be responsible for DPF product level technology planning and execution. The majority of the responsibility will be for the DPF hardware and firmware platforms in commercialization, working closely with the respective DPF Program Manager and Future Product Marketing. In this role the Senior Development Engineer will: Working closely with the DPF Product Commercialization Team and Future Product Marketing, lead the effort to translate the marketing requirements into a robust, scalable, product platform design and architecture across multiple disciplines (hardware / firmware / ID / UI / User Experience). Working as the lead interface to the DPF ODMs, commercialize the product architecture in a family of products. Leading and driving trade-off discussions around features and cost with the DPF team. Develop and communicate relevant commercialization budget and schedule items, working closely with the Program Manager for integration into the overall program schedule. Define project resource needs/skillsets and direct a small engineering team. Preparing relevant commercialization Gate Review documentation. Documenting and communicating product engineering specifications. Define and document advanced development and pre-commercialization initiatives for the DPF platform. Job/Skill Requirements: More than 5 years product design, technology planning and execution experience necessary. Project planning, budgeting, resource management skills are a must. Experience with trade-off analysis, optimization strategies, and program risk management. Deep understanding and considerable experience with imaging systems, with emphasis on capture and display. General understanding of image processing algorithms, color science, optics, and displays would be a plus. General understanding of LAN/WAN networking and application of these technologies. (Bluetooth, WiFi). Deep understanding of embedded RTOS SOC processors and sub-systems (USB, storage, etc.). Power management understanding of battery operated products would be a plus. Real-time operating system and firmware development experience would be a plus. Proactive and resourceful with proven leadership skills Excellent written & oral communication and presentation skills. Ability to work independently, and cooperatively on multi-disciplinary teams Domestic and International Travel required.
