Senior Firmware Development Engineer

Senior Firmware Development Engineer Corporate Engineering and Analytical Sciences is a worldwide engineering organization within the Office of the CTO with experienced mechanical, optical, electrical, software, packaging, systems, project management engineers and technicians. The organization is dedicated to developing and applying high-end engineering competencies & skills to Kodak's applied research, advanced development, product design and subsequent commercialization of award winning products. A senior firmware engineer is needed to support R&D program managers in the development of firmware and software product features with expertise in image process architecture and image path design for the commercialization of devices. Individual would work as part of the R&D team in the development of various digital products. Required Skills: Bachelors Degree Graduate. Demonstrated expertise in image process architecture and image path design of digital products. Experience in the design, development, testing, and documentation of firmware and software systems to meet the requirements of both internal customers and product development. Experience working with image scientists to develop image-processing algorithms with embedded devices and tools. Strong debugging skills, good working knowledge of C/C++ development environments. Ability to create technical specifications and test plans. Must be able to design specialized firmware that solves complex problems. Effectively communicate design decisions and issues with other members of the team. Should have good interpersonal skills and work well in a team environment, but should also be able to work well independently. Ability to self-train and learn new technologies quickly. Experience using a configuration management system, such as Visual Source Safe. Additional Qualifications: Experience enabling multiple product line development. Real-time embedded systems development. Work with geographically dispersed teams.
