Apple is an Equal Opportunity Employer. www.apple.com/jobs Position Description:For immediate consideration, please e-mail your resume to Hafeez@apple.com AND apply through the link below.The Apple Pro Mac Hardware Engineering team is currently seeking a Senior Digital Hardware Electrical Engineer to take a leadership role in design and development of the next generation of professional Mac computers.The candidate will be responsible for the design, integration, implementation, and qualification of all electrical sub-systems.*Will work closely with cross-functional design teams to integrate the electrical and mechanical design of high performance workstation systems.*Must be familiar with computer system architecture & PCB layout using high speed digital design rules. Duties include driving schematic capture, guiding PCB/EMC design, prototyping bring-up and debugging, hardware bug tracking, functional verification, signal characterization, manufacturing support, and inspiring & mentoring more junior engineers.*Will collaborate with and guide outside vendors (graphics, memory, HDD, PCIe, etc).*Will be responsible for transitioning products from engineering to manufacturing. Good communication, analytical, and documentation skills required.*International travel will be required.BS/MS EE or equivalent required . Ideal candidate will have great EE fundamentals with 8 or more years experience in board/system level design. Experience shipping a product is required.Additional requirements:- Microprocessor/multiprocessor experience very highly valued.- Experience with volume design issues, including cost reduction, DFT and DFM, and reliability required.- Detailed familiarity with system issues such as software, mechanical, power management and thermals/acoustics is desired.- Proven ability to multitask and prioritize engineering issues without losing focus is required.- Exceptional communication skills along with a demonstrated facility with coordinating cross-functional teams required.-A familiarity with wireless technologies is a plus.
