Senior Manager of Hosting

Parature is looking for skilled, motivated, highly responsible and detail-oriented candidates to join our IT & Hosting Team. As Senior Manager of Hosting, you will be responsible for the entire network and system management process supporting our flagship on-demand Support Software. It is a critical 24/7/365 system used by clients all over the world.

Job Responsibilities:Identify, troubleshoot and resolve network or system issues in Parature’s production environment to ensure we have the highest uptime and performance Monitor all servers, routers, switches, load balancers and firewalls using our NETIQ monitoring tool Budget, research, plan and implement hardware and software maintenance to ensure our systems are running optimally with the latest technology Patch management for all our network devices and servers Participate in our 24/7 on-call emergency schedule, responding to both hardware and software outages Support our current backup strategy with our database and critical file system while continually seeking ways to shorten latency as well as increase our retention rate Identify, plan and implement methods of making our system and network more fault-tolerant and redundant while increasing our system performance

Required Skills/Experience:Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience 2-5 years experience directly managing routers, switches, load balancers and SSL accelerators in a high-availability infrastructure on a 24/7/365 basis Experience with designing geographic load balancing, multi-site routing, peering, and disaster recovery network architectures Experience with Enterprise monitoring and management frameworks, such as NETIQ and HP OpenView Candidate MUST have extensive experience working in structured change management processes for highly available enterprise networks Experience building and configuring major internet host/network services with Windows 2003 including but not limited to: Web (http, SSL, etc.), Mail (SMTP, POP, IMAP, etc.), DNS, NFS, Databases (SQL Server, etc.) and Java Strong networking experience - TCP/IP, administration of networking hardware (Cisco, Foundry, etc.), network monitoring, load balancing Firewall/security experience (ACL mgt., Secure Remote Mgt Practices, IDS, etc.) Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Experience with design, setup and management of Windows Active Directory, Exchange Server, DNS and of VPN Services for Cisco Hardware or Windows 2003 Strong knowledge with Windows Host Scripting to automate routine tasks Basic understanding of ActiveX/COM to be used in scripting Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills conducive to team development

Desired Skills/Experience: Certifications such as MCSE, CCNA and CCNP Formal training on Cisco, F5, HP, EMC, Windows and NETIQ products Previous experience managing e-commerce related sites, and/or on-demand services
