NoblePeak Vision is a privately held company developing breakthrough night vision camera core and image sensor products in the visible-light, NIR and SWIR bands of the electromagnetic spectrum. NoblePeak Vision’s target markets are in commercial security/law enforcement, transportation, and industrial, scientific and medical applications.




Responsibilities:




Design and enhance mechanical framework and thermal management scheme for advanced camera systems incorporating electronic, electromechanical and optical components. Understand customer requirements and develop a common design for multiple enclosure types. Coordinate the activities of external and internal resources creating design concepts and detailed drawings, track progress, and present status reports. Ensure the timely delivery of complete, clear, and concise drawing and documentation packages for contract manufacturing, assembly and inspection. Collaborate with operations team to drive cost reduction through design-based yield improvement, assembly efficiency, and selection of volume production techniques. Specify and purchase, customize, or develop enclosures for evaluation cameras. Specify and perform, or outsource, thermal and vibration FEA studies.




Qualifications: B.Sc. or M.Sc. in mechanical engineeringUS citizen or permanent resident




Required Skills and Experience: 5+ years of mechanical design in Solidworks or Pro/Engineer including multiple completed projects from concept through detailed design, tolerance analysis, drawing preparation, first article inspection, and productionDesign for manufacturability in an electronics packaging environment, especially with sub-centimeter components and fastenersThermal management techniques for small form factor electronics enclosuresExperience with standard and high-precision machine shop operations and high-volume fabrication techniquesConfiguration, model and drawings management using software such as Windchill, PDMWorks, Subversion, Mercurial, git, CVS, or ClearCase
