Senior Network Engineer -- CCIE Required

The Sr. Network Engineer's primary role is to support the EPIQ production and hosting networks and reports to the Director of IT.
Responsibilties
Design and implementation of Cisco router and switches configuration.Integration of new customers with the necessary CPE to the EPIQ Datacenters.Interacting with Project management and Consultants to ensure client setups are optimal.Taking lead on network related projects in the datacenters dealing layered network architecture, redundancy, failover.Providing the necessary knowledge in network related conference calls between EPIQ and clients.Monitoring network devices for possible alarms or outages and responding quickly and efficiently.Physically rack and decommission all types of hardware within the Data Center. Properly label, dress and extend cable to and from racks.Work with systems to interconnect end node devices; facilitate DR and BCP initiatives between NY, NJ, KC & VA Data Centers for all our clients. Work with Telcos to follow up on any open trouble ticket, or to proactively open tickets. Be able to test circuits with the Telco.Perform hardware repair and configuration on networking devicesPerform hardware inventory and cable managementPerform hardware installation: racking equipmentMonitor the Network management tools for any alarm and escalate if necessary.
Experience and Skills
Must have 10+ years of Network Engineering experience to be considered for this position.BA, preferrably BS in CS or EE from a solid, well-regarded engineering program.Must have advanced experience with Cisco products such as high end Cisco routers, switches and PIX.CCIE certification is required. The candidate will need to have a very good understanding of IP networking, and be intricately familiar with networking equipment (routers, switches, Firewalls, DSU, etc…)The individual must have had hands on experience with Cisco hardware setup and software configuration.Must have good understanding and hands on experience with implementing and integrating Routing Protocols (RIP v1 & 2/EIGRP/BGP, OSPF/IGRP)Access Control List and how it’s implementedGeneral understanding of network security, functionality of VPN, F/W, IDSKnowledge of different type of hardware and decide what is necessary for an implementationKnowledge of VoIP and traffic prioritizationCisco Call manager knowledge is a plusConcepts of layered network design of hierarchal network infrastructuresUnderstand how to cable networks neatly and crimp cabling from scratchWorked with Visio or similar and know how to present current diagramsMust have Telco knowledgeGood troubleshooting skills are requiredHas knowledge of network design principles Has knowledge of security and how it’s implemented on network devices.Have an understanding how firewalls, IDS and VPN integrate with the network devices.Must have good communication skills, both verbal and written, so as to convey network issue within Network Operations group. Must have the ability to interact well with team members in all departments.
Desired Skills
Experience with Checkpoint and/or Juniper Firewalls is a big plus.
