JOB SUMMARY
The SNE is responsible for establishing the plans and administering the information technology for WealthTrust LLC. This encompasses all computer hardware and software applications, security, maintenance, and business continuity for our corporate and affiliate locations..
Additionally, this individual maintains adequate knowledge of existing hardware and software in use to maximize efficiency of the network and users’ utilization of them. This position would also participate and make recommendations in the design and planning of network and telephony infrastructure to support new applications and technologies.
RESPONSIBILITY AND OVERSIGHT
· Responsible for all information systems development, implementation, coordination, technical support, help desk and troubleshooting. This includes WealthTrust and affiliate relationships.
· Develop the firms’ disaster recovery plan and IT business continuity effort. Leads testing of IT disaster recovery. Leads design efforts for backup systems and activities and implements. Ensures the securities of company’s facilities, its people, and its information and records
· Develop solutions to process and information related needs of the various functional areas in the firm, including the introduction of cost savings suggestions and efficiency enhancements for technology.
· Administration of email, database, and web server technologies.
· Management and maintenance of the computer room facilities and all equipment.
· Design, implement, and architect LAN and WAN. Make recommendations for increased efficiency.
· Provide technical support for Microsoft Office, SQL server, Microsoft Dynamics, Advent Portfolio Accounting System, and other portfolio management support software.
· Responsible for ordering, setting up, and configuring PCs and/or laptops as directed and keeping accurate inventory of same
· Coordinate the use of third party vendors’ products and services.
· Maintain current versions of software, updates, and licenses.
· Perform analysis and make recommendations regarding server and network related equipment and software.
· Oversee web services.
· Keep abreast of advancements in information technology and new applications.
· Special projects as assigned by management.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
· Bachelors Degree, preferably in Computer Science or related field
· MCSE on recent technologies (2003 OS, 2007 Exchange, etc.) –desired
· Record of strong leadership; successful projects where you have taken a leadership role.
· 7 + year experience in IT
· 5 + years experience with Microsoft based LAN Administration
