DUTIES / SCOPE OF WORK: The ideal candidate should have a background in IT security, consulting and/or security practices. People skills are required along with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment. We are looking for a team player and the drive to learn new technologies and expand in the IT arena. This work will include, when required, the installation, operation and maintenance of Information Security hardware and software. Provide system training and introduction to best practices to client system administrators. Duties include: • Act as Subject Matter Expert in the design, implementation and operations of CISCO Advance Technologies Security Products (ASA/IPS/CSA/NAC/MARS) • Provide system training and knowledge transfer to client system administrators. • Act as a mentor to other engineers • Analyze customer requirements in conjunction with their current network and system capabilities and ensuring proposed design will accomplish customer's objectives. REQUIREMENTS: 5 years exp is highly desired• CCNP and/or CCSP required, CCIE R/S and or Security certification is highly desired.• Networking Background Experience with VLANS, Spanning Tree Protocol, and Layer 2 trunks. • Experience with Routing Protocols (RIPv2, EIGRP, OSPF, and BGP). • Experience with Cisco Routers and Switches. • Experience designing campus environments • Experience with Cisco Pix and ASA firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs. • Experience with Cisco Network Admission Control (NAC) Appliance, Cisco Security Agent (CSA),and/or Cisco Monitoring Analysis & Response System (MARS) is required. • Travel to local customer sites within the MD, DC and VA areas is required. • Up to 50% travel to customers outside of the Metro area as needed. • Security Clearance (Secret, Top Secret, and or TS/SCI) preferred, but not required.
