Senior Software Developer - Sacramento, CA Senior software engineer experienced with C# and Microsoft .NET framework to develop software applications for Kodak products and services. Candidates should have 5+ years experience in the following areas: Microsoft Technologies – General (Operating Systems, Protocols, COM, Indexing platforms, file system and memory optimizations, etc) with an emphasis on imaging/photo support introduced in Vista (i.e. WIC, Photo Gallery, IE7/increased security and DVD mastering). Must be able to demonstrate synthesis from materials in MSDN and other reference sources. General imaging technology knowledge – color theory, photography basics, etc. a plus. Image management software development experience – editors, viewers, image processing algorithm implementation, display buffer management, image compositing/layer management, general image memory buffer management, database management, image metadata structures and management thereof. C++, object-oriented design and system analysis. Experience with boost.org and other C++ standards a plus. Developing and debugging Microsoft .NET Framework and native/managed interoperability. Compact framework and/or Silverlight experience a plus. Familiarity with optimization and deployment tools important. Microsoft C# experience, including Windows Forms development. Windows Presentation Foundation a plus. XML, including experience with namespace-qualified XSLT and XPATH. Web Services, Client/Server environments including design of RESTful or SOAP-based services Knowledge of Flash/Flex and Adobe Apollo a plus. Understanding of and the ability to be effective within the process of working with software OEMs, including but not limited to RFQs, distributed management, writing technical specs, technical verification, etc. Software design, analysis and application development including multi-threaded and multi-core support. Ability to absorb, evaluate, conceptualize and demonstrate new technologies. Debugging (memory dumps, customer support efforts and inter-process security failures, for example) Communication skills (verbal and written) for presentations outside of the group as well as technical proposals inside the group.
