Senior Software Quality Assurance Engineer

Location: Richmond, VA 23294 Employment Type: Full Time, Employee Expected Duration: 2+ to 5 Years Pay Rate: 60,000.00 - 65,000.00 USD /yearComprehensive Benefits We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced QA Analyst to join our Quality Assurance team. This position will carry out testing activities related to projects ensuring all deliverables are released to specification, high quality standards are maintained and a quality product is delivered.This position is expected to work under minimal supervision.Principal Duties and Responsibilities:· Review product requirements, use cases, functional and technical specs to develop test plans and test cases · Design and develop test cases for all product requirements and features· Lead test case development for the QA team· Perform feature, full system, regression and integration testing. · Assist the QA team for building a strong QA process across the SDLC · Preparation and documenting any set up work needed for specific tests i.e. setup and maintain the QA/ Staging environment, data preparation for specific scenario tests· Develop and maintain scripts for Automate the testing process · Analyze, prioritize and report bugs to the bug tracking system and work with developers for resolving them · Create test summary report  Required Experience:· 6+ years of QA experience · 2+ years in Senior QA role· 4+ years of experience with client/server environments · Experience testing in a .Net environment · 3+ years of backend testing experience using advanced SQL scripts · Working experience with test automation (writing and maintaining scripts)· Strong skills in test planning, bug reporting and trouble-shooting · Ability to take documented and undocumented technical specs from the development team and translate them into feature and system test cases · Ability to setup, run and maintain a test lab· Solid understanding of the software development life cycle· Ability to work in an interrupt-driven environment · Strong oral and written communication skills· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience  Preferred Experience:· 2 years experience working in Agile/ Iterative SDLC· 3 years experience with the MS.NET (C#) programming language · Experience writing JavaScript, WCF
