Senior VM Ware Network Engineer

International Conglomerate headquartered in NYC is seeking to add onto staff an experienced Senior Network Engineer. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years experience designing and supporting both LAN and WAN base infrastructure solutions including equipment (Cisco Routers, Bridges, Sans, Hubs, Gateways, Firewalls) installations and maintenance, systems monitoring and optimizations; hands on productions changes and experience diagnosing and repairing complex network related problems and issues affecting network performance. Must be able to provide hands on engineering and technical support for all IP based networking projects, firewall installations and maintenance, VPN and remote authentication systems and handle network documentation. Must have extensive experience with VM Ware. Knowledge of VM Ware ESX/VI 3.x, VM Ware Server, patch updater, VI3 and Linux P2V Virtualizer for VM Ware all desired. Must have extensive hands on expertise with Cisco Routing/switching, data communications, network architecture and services such as DNS and DHCP, systems security, network monitoring and alerting, firewall configuration and maintenance, network protocol traffic management as well as have expertise configuring and managing virtualized systems (VM Ware) in a SAN connected environment. CCNA and/or MCSE certifications are desired. VM Ware Certification is a HUGE Plus. Degree is required.
