POSITION DESCRIPTION:

Beacon Enterprise Solutions Group is looking for a Service Manager to manage and lead the delivery of technologies to our customers.  The person in this position will manage the technical staff involved in delivery of integrated solutions to customers, provide strategic technical direction, lead technical sales opportunities, remain hands-on, and work in a technical capacity.

 

Must have strong project management and pre-sales technical support experience, including proposal development and RFP response preparation.

Excellent customer management skills are a must.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

· Direct the day to day operations of the service department

· Prepare technical design specifications based on customer requirements

· Assign work to and manage scheduling

· Take direct part in project implementation

· Present and explain technical solutions to customers

· Participate in the pre-sales process by assisting sales and marketing with proposals for prospective customers

· Participate in the training of new team members

· Track implementation project best practices and provide guidance on increasing effectiveness

· Monitor and manage the labor, overtime, COGS and all expense items in the service departments

· Monitor service delivery and customer satisfaction while addressing any issues proactively

· Develop the engineers’ customer service skills and meet with customers as needed.

Education and/or Experience

3-5 years of leading a technology related field service team

Excellent organizational and follow-through skills

Preferred B.S. in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Engineering or similar related degree
