Software Analyst

Small Houston based medical service company that provides custom practice management software for the medical industry is looking for a software analyst with strong technical support, networking and interpersonal skills to grow with us.

 

An ideal candidate will have experience supporting medical software, purchasing and installing hardware and software for medical practices, maintaining small office networks, and testing enhancements for medical software.


Applicants with the following experience are encouraged to apply:
3+ years of experience in configuring, troubleshooting, and modifying Microsoft Windows operating systems, servers and software.  Good working knowledge of networking including firewall and VPN configuration. Enjoy providing end user support and working with programming team to identify/test enhancements to medical software.

 

Responsibilities:

- Provide remote and on-site IT support to 200+ medical practice staff and physicians

- Excellent troubleshooting skills on workstations and LAN/WAN networks

- Ability to produce solutions

- Manage and perform new hardware/software installations and upgrades at practices.

- Train practice staff to use medical software.

- Work closely with business team members to identify and document medical software bugs and enhancement requests.

- Work closely with programming team to test and document bug fixes and enhancements to medical software.

- Maintain knowledge of new trends and technological advances in the healthcare information systems area.

 

This position may require extended work weeks (more than 40 hours) and occasional travel (33%).

 

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's Degree in related field (preferred, but not as important as experience and certifications)

- Microsoft certifications (preferred)

- Healthcare experience

- Good troubleshooting skills

- Good interpersonal skills

- Good oral and written communication

- Minimum of 3 years professional experience
