Software Developer & Consultant

MCS Office Technologies is looking for a hard-working and knowledgeable candidate to join our experienced software development team. The quantity and variety of our consulting work permits us to hire candidates from a variety of backgrounds and experience levels; anyone with 0-10 years experience seeking a non-management role in the fast-paced world of software consulting should apply.



Requirements & Recommendations:

* 4-year degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science or related field

* Experience with .NET (VB.NET &/| C#), Visual Studio, and source control

* SQL (Microsoft or otherwise), including schema design, stored procedures, reporting, and replication

* HTML, CSS, and AJAX

* Focus or interest in either web 2.0 applications or enterprise server-side software is strongly encouraged.



Flexibility, ingenuity, and problem solving skills are a must. Proven ability to work with a team to determine requirements and specifications, communicate with non-technical users, and self-manage workload are also a necessity.  A penchant for customer service, and a passion for custom technology solutions, and capability articulately and effectively communicating with customers are all important to the job.

 

Entry-level applicants can expect to consult with customers to assess needs and opportunities, develop custom software solutions, and research platforms and tools appropriate for individual projects.

 

Senior applications can expect the same responsibilities, plus developing and maintaining project schedules, leading project teams, maintaining long-term customer relationships, and performing strategic planning for large projects & resellable software solutions.
