Currently, the Enterprise Solutions Software Group has an opportunity for a Software Development Engineering Senior to join our Enterprise Business team in the design and development of new data networking products. Key Responsibilities Include: Experience with the design, implementation and operational support of Linux based  embedded software systems for managing, monitoring and controlling of customized high speed hardware and ASICS. Development to support ISO layers 1 and 2 for the Omni Switch including physical drivers, spanning tree, and MAC learning. Education and all minimum requirements Include: MS Degree in related field or equivalent years. 10 years software experience in development or development maintenance and support. Strong working knowledge with Large Scale Software Systems, High Availability, requirements definition and Functional Specification writing. A strong candidate must have at least 10 years of C programming, and experience in vxWorks or Linux.  The candidate must also have a working knowledge of layer 2 networking protocols such as 802.1d, 802.1q, and 802.1ad.
