NVIDIA is looking for an engineer to analyze and optimize a world-class, large-scale, multi-tier distributed computing system for running builds, tests, and chip simulations on farms of machines all around the world. The system runs tens of thousands of jobs per day on hundreds of computers which serve thousands of software and hardware engineers worldwide.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

In this position, you will be responsible for improving and predicting system performance and scalability by:Instrumenting the system for data collectionMining and analyzing the data to determine the performance driversDeveloping and validating stochastic simulation models Analyzing what-if scenarios for the greatest return on investment

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:MS in Computer Science or Operations Research and strong skills in the otherStrong skills in statistical analysis and queueing theory

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:PhD in Computer Science, Operations Research or equivalentExperience in stochastic modelling of fork and join queueing systemsExperience with SQL databases, Java, Windows development
