Software Product Marketing Manager

SGI is seeking a Software Product Marketing Manager for its Sunnyvale CA office. Candidate will be responsible for outbound marketing of SGI's Linux software suite and new software business as well as leading the product management staff (2). Responsibilities include: Design, deliver and maintain marketing collateral and web content, sales tools, training programs and related materials for SGI''s software products. Design, deliver and evaluate a public relations and customer relations plan for SGI software business in cooperation with SGI PR team using web-based opportunities for innovative marketing. Serve as spokesperson on behalf of SGI in these efforts as needed. Plan, execute and evaluate key marketing programs and events in cooperation with related SGI marketing teams. Serve as SGI software marketing representative for corporate-wide events coordination. Be a key spokesperson for SGI software products at customer presentations, tradeshows, and industry events. Lead product management staff for the suite of software products, including marketing requirements definition, software licensing and relationship management of key technology partners.
Requirements: At least 5 years of outbound marketing experience in a business-to-business organization, responsible for a variety of marketing deliverables. Product management experience working with software products and related high end computing solutions highly desirable. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential for this position, including the ability and willingness to engage in public speaking. MBA highly desired, BA/BS required. Willingness to travel up to 25%. Proficient in standard desktop office applications - word processing, presentation, spreadsheet.
