Software Systems Integration Engineer

Software Systems Integration Engineer The responsibility of the Software Systems Integration Engineer is to participate on a multi-functional team in the development of new software products. The individual will report directly to the Director of Software and Solutions. In this role, the individual will work with the project manager to scope new projects by developing requirements and plans. Under the individual's technical leadership, the team will deliver a robust product to the plan on schedule and budget. The project will follow internally-developed commercialization guidelines to insure a robust and stable product. While the projects will be software oriented, there may be the opportunity to work with the hardware development and manufacturing teams on specific changes as needed to meet specific product objectives. Requirements: Ability to coordinate several activities with the project manager including technical leadership and detailed software requirements development B.S. degree in Software Engineering or related field (M.S. degree preferred) Ability to identify, evaluate, resolve, and implement solutions to problems with the development team's support Proven ability to participate on a global, multi-functional, development team Creation and effective delivery of technical presentations to management and commercialization teams Proficient in the use of business tools (MS Office Suite, Lotus Notes, etc) Previous experience developing Windows application software Strong inter-personal and communication skills Desired Skills: Windows application software development experience Some Project Management experience a plus M.S. Degree Knowledge of hardware development methods
