Job Title: Software Test Engineer II

Job Content: Execute Test Cases assigned. Report defects encountered and manage defect life cycle. Perform regression testing and bug fix verification. Maintain Lab equipment and configure various systems. Modify existing Test Cases to meet new product features/ changes / enhancements. Create new test cases based on Test Plans, Product requirements and Functional specifications. Develop and maintain test scripts. Modify and maintain test tools and test suites. Interface with Development team during debugging efforts and defect resolution. Interface with external suppliers for problem resolution and product evaluation. Provide mentorship and training for junior team members.

 

 

 

Job Qualifications:

Experience:

Min 4 years job-related experience.

Education & Training:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

Skills, Knowledge, & Abilities:Knowledgeable with the development and test methodologies.Working experience with one or more of the following; shell scripting, C, C++, C#, java, Perl.Borland SilkTest a plus.Familiarity of storage technologies (SAN, NAS, Fibre Channel iSCSI and SCSI) a plus.Ability to read and interpret technical specificationsWorking experience with one or more of the following OS’s; Windows Server, Red Hat Linux, Sun Solaris, HP-UX, IBM AIX, Mac OS).Experience with backup applications and backup implementation a plus.Good written, verbal, and interpersonal skills. Ability to solve a variety of problems by reviewing identifiable factors. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
Physical job requirements include continual or frequent sitting, talking, hearing, reading, writing, typing, near vision, depth perception, repetitive movements.
