Requirement:

 

Title: Solaris 10 Technical Lead.
Location: New York, NY.

Duration: 5 months contract.

 

Job Description:

 

BCI has an immediate opening for a Solaris 10 Technical Lead in New York, NY. This is for a 5 month contract.

 

Responsibilities:

 

The position requires hands-on technical support for all systems, and candidates are expected to have a very deep understanding of Unix and Storage. Task planning and resource scheduling for 8-10 UNIX SA’s will be required, and ability to report status and work assignments on a weekly basis is essential. The role requires rotating on-call coverage for 24x7 operations, and after hours work for maintenance and break-fix.


Required Skills:  

 Minimum 8+ years experience with Solaris and Linux. Must be very hands-on technical, have a passion for production support.Very strong with problem analysis and resolution skills.Thoroughly understand protocols and internal operations of Unix utilities/tools.Ability to schedule resources, plan work tasks for team and provide workflow reports to management.Experience in financial, real-time production support environments (trading).Understanding mission critical operations and the administration requirements around restoration of services.Excellent communication skills.Advanced level knowledge of enterprise class Solaris and Linux hardware and software.Configurations, including clustered configurations, multi-domain systems.Strong VM-Ware and virtualization experience
