 INFORMATION ON THE POSITION

· Consult with clients to analyze business and technical networking requirements

· Design and implement networking solutions which exceed client expectation

· 50% Travel may be required

 ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

· Implement networking technologies and solutions based on networking designs

· Design network solutions to meet client networking requirements

· Test network to ensure it is functioning as planned

· Work with clients to identify business and technical networking requirements

· Document network architectures and work completed

· Support and transition networking solutions to a network support organization (This includes supporting networking infrastructure during transition and training the new support team).

· Train people within the organization and attend administrative meetings

· Manage project plans and supervise project team members

· Personal development/training

 INFORMATION ON QUALIFICATIONS

· Minimum of 2 years management experience in an internetworking environment

· Extensive hands-on experience troubleshooting internetwork and application solutions

· Deep experience with internetworking technologies (routing and switching), TCP, and application architecture

· Proven troubleshooting skills (LAN/WAN, Internet, packet capture utilities (e.g. Sniffer), servers, clients, and applications

· Experience with OPNET IT Guru and/or Compuware Vantage products and network application development is a plus

 EDUCATION

A bachelor’s degree in a technical or business discipline is preferred. Demonstrated performance in a technical work environment will be considered.  Growth in technical skills through certifications (MCSE/CCNP/CCIE) or other similar achievements is required.
