Job summary: : Under the direction of the Director of Software Development, a Software Developer is responsible for overseeing and participating in development efforts for customers and/or internal projects.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

Participates in all phases of the software development life cycle

Evaluates and makes recommendation on development related technologies

Works with business users to design user-friendly applications

 

Requirements:

5+ years software/application development experience

2+ years using .Net (VS2003, C#, VB.NET, ASP.NET, web services a plus)

Experience in PL/SQL (SP, PACKAGES) & ADO.NET in both Oracle and SQL Server

XML and XSD with XSLT a plus

Crystal Reports (build and deploy)

P&C Insurance industry experience a big plus

 

Abilities Required:

Ability to work independently

Comfortable working directly with clients

Ability to accurately estimate development efforts

Ability to work effectively on multiple efforts simultaneously

Good team player

Ability to step into multiple roles on an as-needed basis
