Sr. Infrastructure Storage Architect

 

One of the leading employers in Northern Virginia is searching for an experienced Storage Architect. This is a permanent position with my client.  The Storage Architect will be responsible for the planning, design, and implementation of the organization’s systems and storage to ensure high levels of data integrity and availability required to accommodate an expanding organization.  Responsibilities will include capacity planning, optimizing storage price/performance,  working with DBAs to achieve maximum performance, research new storage hardware / software solutions, etc….  Candidates must have 10+ years of progressive IT experience including 5+ years experience with some of the following storage technologies: fiber channel, SCSI, NAS, SAN, and RAID.  Experience with Oracle database administration, data modeling, or data architecture is required. NetApp experience is preferred.  Strong understanding of enterprise level architecture including three tier web architecture is desired.
