Custom Job Purpose: We are seeking a highly motivated, flexible candidate who can think on their feet and execute their duties in a fast changing environment to build and support the new US Marine Corps Information Operations Center (MCIOC). Candidates must have a strong background in and understanding of DoD, Navy, and Marine Corp networking, DoDiis, systems, and security guidelines. Selected individual must have a firm understanding of how best to plan, design, and implement computing systems into the MCIOC. Qualifications: Excellent interpersonal, written, verbal, and presentation skills are a must. Candidate should be highly experienced in interfacing with Government customers and executive management. Job Tasks and Responsibilities: Responsibilities include - Designing the computing infrastructure - Providing technical assistance and consulting to the users, and developing tools for managing the system -Designs and develops server disaster recovery strategies - Troubleshoots high profile network performance issues utilizing root-cause analysis and recommends appropriate action - Develops policies and standards for allocation and use of computer equipment and resources - Ensures data integrity by evaluating, proposing, implementing and managing software and hardware solutions - May recommend and implement system enhancements that will improve the performance and reliability of the system - Web Design, DNS, SAN, VoIP, or Blackberry Server experience is a plus
