Position Summary
The Staff Accountant, under the general direction of the Senior Manager of Accounting, will be expected to work on numerous routine and ad hoc accounting support functions. S/he must have knowledge of and demonstrated ability to apply generally accepted accounting principles and internal controls. S/he will exhibit the highest professional standards and ethical principles. Other valued attributes that we are seeking are a strong work ethic, capacity to get things done independently, a willingness to learn new areas, and consistent performance with a sense of urgency and commitment.

Responsibilities
• Maintain and reconcile various Balance Sheet Accounts as required.
• Accounting for all Fixed Asset and Prepaid Expense related transactions.
• Provide support for Cash Application and Reconciliation.
• Assist in the preparation of audit and review work papers for year-end financial audits by external auditors.
• Perform other special projects and analyses as directed by management.

Requirements
• B.A/B.S is Accounting, Finance, Business or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.
• 2 - 3 years of accounting experience.
• Proficiency in Oracle 11i, Oracle Discoverer and Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, and Outlook)
• Must have the ability to execute multiple tasks and adhere to strict deadlines in a fast-paced, changing environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to interact effectively with all areas and levels of the Company.
• Proactive, assertive, and creative approach to problem solving.
