Position Profile:  Storage Business Development Manager



 

Job Description:

The Storage Business Development Manager has responsibility for managing all aspects of PC Mall Gov’s storage practice and exists to drive revenue and profitability for storage solutions within the company. Responsibilities include supporting sales engagement and opportunity facilitation, managing a strong organizational understanding of Storage partner programs, compliance with forecasting, reporting and certification requirements to maintain our reseller partner status and maximize performance incentive attainment.  The Storage BDM contributes to the marketing and strategic plan for storage solutions within PC Mall Gov’s business and serves as an advocate for PC Mall Gov within our storage partners’ organizations.

 

Essential Job Functions:

 

· Own all aspects of the Storage partnership and coordination of activities to drive revenue, profitability and growth in Federal, and State & Local Marketplaces

· Serve as the primary PC Mall Gov/GMRI contact for internal and external storage relationships

· Understand all Storage Partner Programs, Promos and resources and leverage to drive business for PC Mall Gov

· Ensure strong relationships with Partners’ Channel Teams, End-user  reps, and Managers and facilitate engagement with our resources

· Serve as an advocate of PC Mall Gov within Partners organizations to successfully position our core competencies and value add to Partner resources and customers

· Develop Storage Business plans with Sales, Marketing, Operations and Partner Channel Reps and participate in Storage Business Reviews as appropriate

· Contribute to development and execution of Marketing plans with PC mall Gov Marketing Manager and other mall resources

· Manage compliance with all aspects of our partner status including monitoring Certifications, Status in partner Profile tools and forecast reporting requirements

· Manage Opportunity Registration Process and support sales to manage deals to closure

· Ensure high level of communication with and about government storage business at all levels of the PC Mall Gov organization

· There is a limited amount of travel to support the assigned areas-- to our offices in California and Montreal as well as partner/customer meetings & events.

 

Qualifications:Bachelors Degree or equivalent Industry experienceProfessional experience in the Storage industry (Needs to have experience working for a reseller or systems integrator, public sector experience is a huge plus) Preferred Channel Relationship Management ExperienceMulti level relationship building experienceAbility to execute, focused on results, strong teamwork skills, self-motivated and pro-activeStrong work-ethic and self disciplineStrong communication skillsAbility to do account planning and long term sales development Candidate needs to be located in the DC/VA area and be able to commute to Manassas, VA
