Position Description:Manage long-term strategic planning and business development projects for the storage aspect of LSI’s Networking and Storage Product Group (NSPG). Responsible for generating and executing strategies to significantly grow NSPG’s >$300 million storage silicon business that includes SAS Controllers, ROCs, HBAs, External Storage Muxes/Bridges, etc. Generate necessary market segment analyses on relevant markets to find new growth opportunities. Create strategic long range plans to capitalize on new growth markets. Lead strategic assessments on key growth opportunities and key threats to existing franchises. Drive ongoing engagement with key customers on long-term strategic initiatives. Contribute to long-term roadmaps and plans that support NSPG’s business strategy. In some cases, when needed, find and recommend key strategic partnerships and acquisitions to realize these objectives. Be able to indirectly lead and influence key stakeholders across the LSI including engineering, sales, finance, operations, etc. Position would report into the director of NSPG storage strategic marketing.
