Our premier libraries are going strong, and we need sustaining engineers to help us keep these products competitive. You'll work to continually improve the design of released library products by advancing electronic designs, creating and updating manufacturing firmware, and leading general quality improvement initiatives. A Sustaining Electrical Engineer designs test electronics, test software, and test procedures to provide manufacturing with the tools they need to efficiently test and debug final units, sub-assemblies, and circuit boards. You'll also work with the design engineering team to introduce newly designed libraries into manufacturing and address technical issues as these products go into production.

The Sustaining Electrical position provides exposure to a wide variety of electrical engineering topics and offers an excellent opportunity for development of both technical and personal skills. Accountabilities:Lead efforts for product and process improvements, cost reductions, and customer driven design enhancements on all product lines.Responsible for ensuring the quality and integrity of all products and components through thorough design validation and strict adherence to corporate policies and procedures.Contribute technical skills to support modifications and enhancements to existing product lines.Contributes technical skills to support NPI processes and to support customer requirements.Ensure that projects are executed to achieve cost and time goals.Basic Qualifications:Junior to mid-level electrical engineer with experience or exposure to manufacturing.Ability to work from objectives, translating those into specific tasks and deliverables. Capable of writing firmware and software.Professional demeanor, exhibiting an ability to communicate with a wide range of individuals.Strong process and quality orientation.Manufacturing, data storage industry, and hands-on tinkering experience is a plus.Education:
BS ECE or BS EE with a strong focus on software and firmware development.

Travel:
This position is projected to have up to three weeks of travel per year.

Full Time, Direct Hire Exempt Position

Located at our headquarters at 1700 N.55th Street in Boulder, Colorado.
