Systems Administrator – Managed Web Hosting – NeoSpire, Inc.

Responsibilities:
* Configuration and on-going management of Windows, Linux, and Solaris systems.
* Maintain network and system security, ensure redundancy and fault tolerance into a variety of architectures for production, QA, and development environments.
* Proactively monitor environments and respond to alerts of system and application issues.
* Closely control production environments to ensure stability and security.
* Work with customers to implement system changes and resolve issues.
* Ability to articulate technical concepts to a variety of audiences including clients, developers, engineers, and sales representatives.

Skill Requirements:
* Solid knowledge and experience with TCP/IP, SMTP, HTTP, FTP, DNS, and Mail.
* Operating system experience with Windows and/or Linux (Red Hat, Debian, etc) and Solaris.
* Comfortable with building a server and administration in multiple platforms.
* Ability to add users, groups, hosts, and devices to systems/environments.
* Ability to translate functional requirements into technical project specifications.
* Ability to work in a 24/7 environment.
* Extensive knowledge of enterprise software products.
* Web servers/ application servers, and/or messaging services functionality in a multi-tier distributed application architecture.
The ideal candidate will have experience in:
* Experience working in a multi-operating system environment.
* Working knowledge of MS-SQL Server, MySQL, DB2 and Oracle.
* Working knowledge of JBoss, Tomcat, Websphere

Communication Skills:
* Ability to document requirements and solutions in writing.
* Ability to communicate technical information verbally.
* Superior team and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to interface smoothly with clients.
* Capable of performing in a high stress, fast paced technical hardware/software environment.

Experience Requirements:
* 2 to 4 years experience in an ISP or hosting environment.
* You must have at least 2-4 years experience with Network Engineering and/or Network Architect, preferably in an Internet environment.
