Position Description:Responsibilities include - Demonstrate technical leadership and provide a value add for both our OEM's and their business partners in expanding their storage sales business with LSI Logic products. Provide pre-sales technical support of LSI Logic technology to its OEM's, their Channel Partners, and end-user customers. Activities include customer technical and sales presentations, seminars, demonstrations, sales calls, and product evaluations. Assist in planning of complex Storage Area Networks (SAN) configurations, quotes, proposals, and RFP's. Assume a leadership role in supporting our OEM and partner technical sales efforts. Represent our storage technology in the disk storage elements of our solutions at customer meetings and product briefings to potential prospects. Manage and implement contracted "Professional Sales" engagements as received from our customers. Establish and maintain peer relationships with the System Engineer's for selected OEM's, Channel and Alliance Partners. Provide input into product information products such as white papers and customer success stories. To Apply Visit LSI CorporationQualifications:Qualifications:Sales Applications/Systems Engineer with a BS degree and 5+ years pre-sales/post sales experience with selling Storage Area Networking (SAN) solutions in large account environments. Strong partnering skills and experience working with the direct and indirect channels. In-depth knowledge of in SAN hardware and software technology. Operating system knowledge and hands on experience with UNIX and Windows Servers. Linux and AIX experience desirable. Successful record of architecting and delivering customer storage solutions. Demonstrated ability to learn new product technologies quickly. Competitive knowledge of EMC, Hitachi, HP, DataDirect, 3PAR, and/or Dell storage desired. Candidate needs to possess excellent interpersonal skills, effective oral/written communications, organizational and presentation skills.
