SYSTEM SUPPORT ENGINEER

 

 

POSITION OVERVIEW:

 

Netsmart OH, Inc has a position available for a results oriented individual, able to work with minimal supervision, to build, stage, install and assist customers with problem determination on AIX & SCO operating systems, Windows 2003 Servers and workstations. This is a customer service position with some travel required.

 

 

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

·  Assist system administration level customers with OS, peripheral and communication issues in a help desk environment.

·  Keep accurate records using HEAT tracking software

·  OS recovery(AIX and SCO UNIX)

·  OS installation(AIX and SCO UNIX, Windows 2003 server)

·  OS patch upgrades(AIX and SCO UNIX)

·  Disk Management(AIX and SCO UNIX)

·  Network troubleshooting/configuration(AIX and SCO UNIX)

·  Software installation (AIX and SCO UNIX, Windows 2003 server, and Windows workstations).

·  Support of Browser Interface product (Windows 2003 server running Apache/Tomcat Web Services and Windows workstations with .NET and Java Components).

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

·  Associate's degree preferred

·  3-5 years customer service experience

·  Working knowledge of basic Unix commands & Utilities

·  Networking, troubleshooting and customer support skills

·  Ability to communicate effectively over the phone

·  IBM and/or MS certifications a plus

·  Intersystems Cache experience a plus

·  Sun Solaris experience a plus

·  IBM pSeries Hardware a plus

·  Up to 25% Travel
